Who Are We?

Raw feeders are not average pet parents, we are apart of a much larger movement with a clear vision for our pet’s future. Each individual approaches raw feeding in their own way; but in order to reach the goal of a healthier and happier companion we need to understand the differences between surviving and thriving.

Yes, there are pets known to live in double digits being fed a bottom line kibble, mixing raw and kibble, on an unbalanced diet, etc … this does not mean we should follow in the same footsteps fully knowing the diet has a lot of room for improvement. Since we all want to provide the most health benefits to our fur kids, we need to consider the small factors that make surviving and thriving two entirely different concepts.

For this reason, we created Raw Food for Pets (Pty) Ltd, powered by Blue Sage Distribution (Pty) Ltd, our company, focusing on supplying biologically, specie appropriate, or natural, sometimes also called ancestral or prey model, diets for your fur kids, packaged for convenience, and registered!

We want our fur kids to thrive, not just survive. We operate as Raw Food for Pets, offering a home delivery service in Gauteng, South Africa.

• Our mission is to supply you and your fur kids with the highest quality, registered, pet cuisine;
• Our suppliers' mission is to produce the highest quality pet food possible at an affordable price;
• Our suppliers only use raw materials that have not been processed or cooked in any way;
• Our suppliers' manufacturing processes follow the highest possible standards, which is why they register with the Dept of Agriculture, and open for regular inspection;
• Our suppliers do not add any artificial chemicals, preservatives, colourings or flavourings to their supreme pet food;
• The products we stock & sell rely on freezing to maintain their freshness and goodness;
• Our suppliers do not use grains, sugar or salt in their supreme cuisine;
• The meals we supply depend on the correct balance of raw whole foods to deliver their promise of supreme pet health, as well as being validated through the V-Registration process with the Dept of Agriculture;
• Our suppliers all adhere to the basic principles of biologically specie appropriate raw food formulisation of their supreme pet cuisine;
• By supplying your pet’s nutritional requirements in this form, the product we sell and deliver achieve more than legal completeness and balance; they are, more importantly – biologically complete and balanced.
